Visiting The Entrance Ocean Baths the first time
There’s something for everyone at The Entrance Ocean Baths, with 3 pools. A 50m lap pool with 7 marked lanes, a smaller 24m pool with 6 marked lanes, and a kiddies paddling pool in between.
The Entrance Ocean Baths are like a mini, free, country town vibe version of Bondi Icebergs. I know which pool I’d prefer!
What other ocean pools are near The Entrance Ocean Baths?
If you’re after something a bit more natural, just 13kms further north is Norah Head Rock Pool. If it’d just the kids, Terrigal Rock Pool, might be ok, just 15kms further south. If you’re after another ocean pool to do some laps in, it’s 40kms further south to Pearl Beach Rock Pool, or a bit more distance in a northerly direction to get to the famous Merewether Baths.

No lifeguards on duty. Lifeguards on duty at The Entrance Beach, you can check the council website for their availability.
Is there Car Parking near The Entrance Ocean Baths?
Not much parking right at the pool, but a bit of street parking near the surf club, 200m to the north of the pool, on Marine Parade.
Are there BBQ Facilities near The Entrance Ocean Pools?
There are BBQ facilities about a km to the north at Memorial Park.
How big are The Entrance Ocean Baths?
The big lap pool measures 50m and is 14m wide at the skinny end, and increases to about 18m at the other end. It has 7 marked lanes.
The little lap pool is 24m long and about 10m wide with 6 lanes marked.
The kids pool takes up the corner between the two bigger pools.
Is The Entrance Ocean Pool Wheelchair and Pram accessible?
It looks like the pool level is accessible via a ramp or stairs.
Good wheelchair access to the level of the pool. Stairs with railing to get into the pool itself.
