Avalon's Ocean Pool
Avalon Rock Pool is located at the South end of Avalon Beach. Described as pristine with crystal clear waters. This pool is so photgenic that it appeared on the TV show Baywatch! I can’t wait to visit this one and get my Hasslehoff stride on!
A natural appearance of the bottom of the pool makes you feel a bit closer to mother nature. A treat to be able to watch the surf as you look north from this cracking spot.

What other ocean pools are near Avalon Rock Pool?
It’s only 3.6kms south of it’s nearest neighbour to the north, Whale Beach Rock Pool, and 2.5kms north of it’s southerly neighbour Bilgola Rock Pool to the south. Avalon Rock Pool is just one of many ocean pools to choose from in close proximity to each other in the northern beaches area.

How big is Avalon Rock Pool?
An odd shaped pool, Avalon is close to 25m and 29m on it’s long sides (NE and SW sides respectively), by almost 8m along the and 16.6m on the shorter sides.
Featuring a kids paddling pool 7m by 4.5m on the western side, and a nearby playground and skatepark, Avalon Rock Pool is worth a day out!

Are Lifeguards on duty at Avalon Baths ocean pool?
No lifeguards on duty at the pool. Lifeguards on duty on the weekend at Avalon Beach.
Is there Car Parking near Avalon ocean pool?
Street parking and a car park, with a good access to the pool.

Are there BBQ Facilities near Avalon saltwater pool?
No BBQ facilities available.
Is Avalon Pool Wheelchair and Pram accessible?
Wheelchair access to the pool is difficult as sand often covers the path. No ramp access into the pool. Accessible toilets at the north end of Avalon Beach.
Pram access to the level of the pool is good.

What are the changeroom and shower facilities like at Avalon Rock Pool?
Cold water open air showers located below the stairs.
My preferred option is the quick change under a hoodie towel!
