Where is Ross Jones Memorial Rock Pool?
Ross Jones Memorial Pool is one of four ocean pools located at Coogee in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Nestled at the southern end of Coogee Beach is in between Giles Baths at the North end of Coogee Beach and right next door to the ladies only McIvers Baths, only 120m according to google maps, with the famous Wylie’s Baths just a further 300m south. Talk about spoiled for choice!

Packing a camera is essential
The pool itself is unique and inspiring in it’s shape. I also love the way it is tucked underneath the cliff, giving it a similar feel to Bronte Baths.
Warning-Don't swim in South Coogee Pool when the swell is big!
If you are a competent swimmer, the rock pool is a great place for a swim. On a high tide or big swell the waves crash into the pool.
Good times as long as you swim within your limits and stay safe.

Limited car parking on Beach Street. Good luck finding a carpark on a hot Summer’s day.

There’s no dogs allowed in the Rock Pool.
