How big are Austinmer Ocean Pools?
The northern pool is shorter and wider, 40.7m long by almost 22m wide.
The southern pool is longer and skinnier at 49m by almost 16m wide.
Generally if you were going to do laps you would probably lean towards swimming in the southern pool because the length would make it easier to track the distance you’ve swum. Of course, conditions in ocean pools change all the time, so you would definitely have to take into account other things like water quality, how much seaweed etc before making that decision.
