Where is Norah Head's Ocean Pool?
Norah Head Rock Pool is located in the southern corner of Norah Head Beach. Just further south on the headland is the Norah Head Lighthouse.
Norah Head Rock Pool is great for the kids
Featuring a ring of rocks that help protect swimmers from the swell, this is a fantastic spot to take the kids for a paddle. Reminiscent of the Soldier’s Baths at Newcastle, and the Bronte Bogey Hole.
Make sure to pack your snorkel
There’s plenty to see under the water at high tide so be sure to pack your snorkel and go exploring under the surface.
What other ocean pools are near Norah Head Rock Pool?
If you want to do some laps, you could go for a 50km drive north to Merewether Ocean Pool or travel in a southerly direction for 13kms and go for a swim at The Grant McBride Baths at The Entrance.

The rock pool measures approximately 58.5m in length and about 39m across, depending on the tides.
Is Norah Head Rock Pool Wheelchair and Pram accessible?
The pool is not accessible for prams and wheelchairs. Access is via the beach across the soft sand. About a 100m walk from the car park.
What are the changeroom and shower facilities like at Norah Head Rock Pool?
Cold water open air showers located near the track from the beach just west of the pool.
